Education Funding (36a) Cullerton, John--State Senate, 6
SPRINGFIELD – Illinois senators will return to regular session at 2 p.m. Sunday with the intention of taking action on education funding. In a statement, Illinois Senate President John Cullerton said education funding is a priority that Senate Democrats have been working on “for the better part of four years,” and he remains optimistic there is a path to “reasonable compromise” on fair school funding. “One way or another, we are going to get a fair funding system that improves education in all public schools in Illinois for the long term,” Cullerton said.
