Speaker of the House Welch hosting job fair today at state Capitol. What you need to know

Illinois Speaker of the House Emanuel "Chris" Welch, D-Hillside, is hosting a first-ever open house and job fair at the state Capitol, Room 114, from 10 a.m. to noon and 4 to 6 p.m. today.


The Office of the Speaker is actively recruiting for legislative coordinators, communications specialists, assistant counsel, IT security specialists, clerical staff and other positions.

In addition to the in-person event at the Capitol that will be held in Room 114, there will also be a virtual event held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. via zoom.
